Thank you for the link and recommendations, Cowham Sensei. I shall resist watching the video until I get tonight's blog post done. ;-) Looking forward to it.
When I said "...one of the things I am focusing on is discovering how I learn, ..." the other is on improving my ukemi. That's been my primary area interest in Aikido since the beginning, and the place I find the most value. I get so much out of taking ukemi (both for advanced people, and for newbies and kids), and of course the better I am, the more likely I'll be asked. It's an upward spiral of improvement/progress, if I can stay present and learn from it.
