I agree with much of the above paragraph, but have a question about the curriculum. I have experienced very little variation from the staple of what the Japanese call
kihon (基本 basic),
oyo (応用 practical application), and
henka (変化 variation), as applied to
waza (業, 技 work or technique). The material collected in
Budo Renshu has been effectively pared down to a much smaller repertoire and I am curious about why you think this is.
