Other that loving the sport ... here is another reason I joined aikido. I am an elementary school teacher and I believe that to be a good teacher I must know what it is like to be a student. In the dojo as in life, I am always learning something new. In my classroom, I am the boss
so it is nice to be reminded of what it feels like to be in my students' shoes ... it is humbling to learn a new a skill that one has to work for in order to achieve.
