Personally, I welcome the inexperienced because they often bring fresh insights and remind us to focus on the basics. They can also revitalize us with the energy and enthusiasm that usually accompanies starting something new. On the mat, I have had many a beginner show me that my kote-gaeshi, shiho-nage, kokyu-nage, etc (pick any) is not at the level I had thought it was . Sometimes I can even manage to avoid commenting on their "bad ukemi" and focus insted on why I'm losing it. If we are to welcome the inexperienced into our dojos so that Aikido can flourish, why not welcome them in our discussions?
