Re: Poll: Does aikido alone fulfill your spiritual practice in life?

To me it is again one of the questions, where 'yes' and 'no' is right or wrong at the same time.
Spiritual practise is everything I do, in each moment, so very similar as David posted before. And it is Christian, while Aikido is not. And only mat time is much too few to be seen as spiritual practice.

On the other side Aikido is not Anti-Christian. It is Shinto-based, but matches very well Christian, Buddhist, and many other religions and philosophies. Somehow, it is neutral. And Aikido is not bound to the dojo.

I also see every breath, I take as aikido practice. And so I could say, "my Christian-colored Aikido is all the spiritual practice, I do - everywhere and in every moment".

And the truth is not somwher in-between. The truth is both views at the same time.

Best regards

Dirk
