Not in Shodokan you wont. Everything revolves around shizentai from the very beginning. But yes this is a good point. When strong, seemingly unnatural positions are being taught to a beginner, that beginner often is far more tense than that position actually requires. Trying to be perfect. Once again - that most hated of all Aikido terms - relax.
