Greetings from UK

Hi everyone. I am new to Aikido. Well that is a lie right a way. I have dabbled in the various martial arts over the years, doing a lesson here and a grab there. But it has only been in the last few months that I have dedicated myself to my local dojo Aikido, and was last week presented with the opportunity of taking my first grading. On the basis that I don't know my Gokyus from my Iriminages I have suggested to the sensei that we delay the grading by three months, but i have seen the light on an internal reflection of this time span, and decided to ask him to grade me in a month. True I won't have memorized the whole syllabus of throws and pins by then, if asked to remember them by heart and by rote, but with a little bit of guidance and encouragement hopefully I will be able to produce the goods on the day, to an extent that will get me the grade. Stay tuned for more details! ;-)
