Disclaimer has already been mentioned but the whole Shodothug label was invented by a non-Shodokan person if memory serves me correctly. It was obvious then as it is now that tongue was firmly planted in cheek and so with every Shodokan persons response.
And we have the belts, uniforms, japanese name and
lack of hakama because we see the source of what we do as being in Japan. There is no irony - we get that beaten out of us

Actually I modeled the guy in the hakama - took away the glasses, put on a wig, tied me into a hakama, a bit of artistic license and voila. We could not get a real non-Shodokan Aikidoist to go anywhere near the Shodothug model.
