Re: The Fraud

Thanks Ross, great article. A couple of thoughts.

"Aikido is misogi. Misogi of ourselves. Aikido is the way of misogi itself, the way to become Sarutahiko-no-O-Kami and stand on the Ame- no-Ukihashi (the bridge between heaven and earth). In other words, the skills of misogi are Aiki, the way of uniting heaven and earth, the way of world peace, the way of trying to perfect humanity, the way of the Kami, the way of the universe." OSensei

So perhaps all we have to do is keep training, keep doing misogi.

The Sufi's say that our actions in the present ripple back through the generations.

This article/book expresses the same thought.

This is a more scientific article about how our present actions impact the past.

So I think OSensei was spot on about Aikido as a way to perfect humanity.

Perhaps "It may be that this is how aikido is measured, and how mastery in the art is best assessed. While we will always have great men and women who make a splash and leave their mark, beyond greatness lies the possibility of inscribing a signature upon history that is "like the footprints of birds in the sky."

Cheers, Jeff
