Went for Aikido class yesterday and had a couple of good laughs.

We were asked to practice Nikko like in Gakyu Hammi Kata-dori Nikko but instead of grabbing the gi, we were asked to grab Nage's hair. Right after our instructor demonstrated, he said, "Just practice this a couple of times, or you will lose too much hair!". Then, indicating to a black belt who is balding, he said, "David, you don't need to practice this technique." We all got a good laugh out of it.

Also in the same class, still demonstrating the same technique, the instructor had uke in the Nikko position in forward stance. He was explaining why it is important to be in forward stance while holding uke in Nikko. As he moved from forward stance to middle stance and then to weight on rear leg stance, uke moved closer to his body and groin. Our instructor then said, "If I make that mistake (of being in a rear stance), then I will be the one doing the tapping out instead." That was another funny instance.
Chris,

You weren`t in Tokyo the other week with Philip sensei were you, why not?

A difficult problem is easily solved by asking yourself the question, "Just how would the Lone Ranger handle this?"
