The only thing that helped for my wife was keeping a few crackers and a bottle of water by the bed at night. The moment she'd wake up she'd have a few swigs of water. Then a few minutes later eat a few crackers. She'd rest for a while longer then finally start the process of getting up.
The other advice was keeping hydrated (small sips of water all day long) and eating extremely lightly but constantly. So a cracker here, a couple almonds there, a slice of apple later, you get the idea. I think the notion was to keep blood sugar very stable.
She got over it rather quickly. Once out of the first trimester she was basically done with it for the most part.
