Run, do not walk, to the orthopedist and learn how to tape it properly. ASAP. And don't practice until you do. Otherwise you risk improper healing and permanent damage to your wrist.
I've had to practice with joint injuries (ankle and wrist); with good taping, I healed well and practiced daily (uchideshi program)
. I've had friends who didn't tape (just used elastic supports), and still have chronic problems with their wrists
