What happens, then, if you are in a situation where you must remove a person who is perhaps being obstinant and difficult, refusing to leave but not overtly attacking anyone aka a "bouncer" situation? Should not aikido be directly applicable to such a situation?
I knew psych nurses when I first started to train in the 90s who found aikido very handy in dealing with dangerous situations where you don't want to cause harm.
Joe Thambu Shihan runs restraint and removal courses, I seem to remember he may have owned a security company in Melbourne (could be wrong).
