Sad news indeed. condolences to the family. My Iaido teacher's teacher (Patrick Veninga) was a student of Sakamoto sensei of the Muso Chokuden Eishin Ryu. There was a story of Sakamoto sensei drew and cut a moth in half as it flew by in the old Chicago aikikai dojo
