When proposing marriage, should one be on the left knee so you can draw your sword if they say "no" or should you be on the right knee so a draw is restricted and they have an advantage over you?
I asked my sensei and he said you should be on BOTH knees with a wakizashi and a piece of rice paper just in case the answer is negative.
