I wonder if Ikeda sensei has any more footage they could release from the Summer Camp tapes? The two videos I have of Kuroiwa sensei are from the Aikido Today Cherry Blossom video and the 'Best Of' summer camp compilation (both of which I have now transferred to DVD).

I remember one of my last trips out to the Rockies where Ikeda sensei was teaching under the tent outside - we were working on a version of Ikkyo and he explained it as being like a punch... Ping... Lightbulb moment... I remembered the footage I'd seen of Kuroiwa sensei and asked sensei if this was where it had come from. He smiled big time and said it was. When I got back home I paid a lot more attention to that footage.

Sadly I never got the chance to meet Kuroiwa sensei. Thank you for the article.
