Raul - Senior, not junior. Rank is much less important in this world than seniority. Everyone knows that rank is politics. But skill is undeniable - and seniority is a fact, like birth-order.
That's why Shirata sensei, for example, was such an exemplary man - that he would take Saito-sensei's weapons classes as a student, despite being senior by over a decade and a half. A lot of men in this world could never have brought themselves to do such a thing.
