You seem to have the stances pretty much covered now...until you get input from yoshinkan who sometimes use 'ai hanmi' feet with gyaku hanmi' upper body. ;-)

It might help if you think of katate dori as the wrist, hiji dori as elbow etc depending on the terminology in your dojo.

so you end up with words that give...posture relative to uke, nature of attack and the technique to be deployed.

eg,

Ai hanmi (posture), katate dori,( wrist grab attack) ikkyo (technique).

seems fairly common in the Aikikai plus derivatives world.
