Many thanks for the kind words.

I do not regard it as a gift, so much as something I have to do in the time allotted to me (not that I am thinking of leaving this world any time soon). I once had a conversation with Stanley Pranin and he mentioned that he wanted to write a history. Putting together all the articles he has written would itself constitute such a history, but Stan wanted to do more than this. Having lived here for such a long time, I can see that aikido here is a different phenomenon from that imagined by some AikiWeb members and I also see a need to set the record straight. Of course, I am doing this on my own terms and this might lead some to disagree with my approach. (Mine would also probably be quite a different history from Stan's.)
