Thanks for your replies.
I was looking to see if they were part of an official syllabus any where.
I was thinking they may have been and just dropped off over a period of time.

I training with Dr, Yang Jwang-Ming and his students in the YMAA organization. Dr Yang's book says:

"Japanese Jujitsu and Aikido are based on the same principles as Qin Na and taiji. Since these countries were significantly influenced by Chinese culture, it seems probable that Chinese Qin Na also influenced thier indigenous martial arts".

We do so much in Aikido not only where the fingers are directly accessible like in Kote Gaeshi but that will also make a closed fist open up making the fingers vulnerable. The finger locks just blend so seamlessly.
