Good form and alignment.

Knees: keep you toes, knees, and hips pointed in the same direction.

Shoulders: keep you hand in front of you body, elbows down, arm pits closes.

Warm up.

Common sense: don't push through fatigue or pain.

Avoid jerking motions.
