Took a bad fall during practice this past week. Two cracked ribs, a minimum of six to eight weeks' healing time. For anyone else who's worked their way back from cracked ribs, how did you go about reintroducing yourself to the floor/mat when the doctor gave the go-ahead to resume training? My instincts just say limber up and take it easy at first. Any other suggestions based on experience?

Thanks very much.
You'll know when you're ready. I've never cracked ribs but I've flexed the cartilege on the floaters a few times (generally snowboarding), and that hurt like h#ll. Keep in mind too that many doctors will tell you that you're 'healed' but that they don't get the strain that many of us put our bodies through.
