I too was made aware of this right from the start, but I can't say that I really started to understand it until much later (around 1st Kyu
). That was 10 years ago, so I now feel that is part of my aikido - although I'm working on improving it, and this for me is where I feel the most progress can be made.
In turn I am doing my best to teach my students the same, which is where I need to be getting off to right now.
