I don't know about being the future of Aikido. Kind of a scary thought when I'm in that picture.
But, seriously, it was an eye opener when I started a different style. I knew there were other ways of doing things in Aikido, but until I actually started practicing them, I never realized how vastly different they could be. Now that my eyes have been opened, I see short clips of demonstrations and I realize that there are still other styles out there with vastly different approaches. And I wonder if I have time enough left to learn some more of them.
