Kano, when he first broke away from Ju-Jitsu and O'Sensei are definatly the top of my list.
But although Mr Bowen mentioned how a myth is often bigger than the man, the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Muso Gunnosuke, for me, would've have been the one to watch.
