Is it me, or are there never any Tomiki/Shodokan instructors at this thing?

Hi Larry,

I can't say I've seen anyone who is directly related to Shodokan at the Aiki Expo. Maybe Stan doesn't have much connections in the Shodokan system?

Hmm... Maybe there's a way to hook him up with Seiji Tanaka sensei (who is a great guy, if I may add) in Denver some day...

Re: Aiki Expo 2005

Perhaps those people who have suggestions can contact Stanley Pranin at Aikido Jounral and make some recommendations. He would probably want to see a demonstration tape to insure quality. I have always found him very open to ideas. A very dedicated man. But do it now while he is still in the planning stage.

Like Jun here, a lot to appreciate.

Re: Aiki Expo 2005

Hey Jun, Lynn,

I spoke to Stan online about this when he had the first Aiki Expo actually, I remember then that the problem had to do with schedules colliding and such. I know that Stan is in touch with F. Shishida Shihan as well, and now that S. Tanaka is Shihan for JAA/USA, I thought that at least he may have been included in this year's roster.

Will drop a line at Aikidojournal and see what's up.

Yoseikan at Aiki Expo 2005

The Mochizuki Family (of Yoseikan Budo fame) has expressed an interest in being a part of the demonstration aspects of the Expo. It is my understanding they want to see some of the evolution that Minoru and Hiroo added to the style. This is slightly different then when Patrick Auge lived at the former hombu.
