Dojo in Ayabe

I got a phone call a couple of nights ago asking about Aikido contact information in Ayabe. Besides suggesting that they go to the local community center which always have dojos and almost always have Aikido - does anyone have suggestions or contact information.

I told the guy about the forums and said I'ld post the question.

Hi Peter,

I'm sure I used to have some info on Oomoto Kyo, you could go visit and train at their Aikido dojo, unfortunately, I don't hvae it any more. I did look up their web site but couldn't find anything mentioning Aikido.

http://www.oomoto.or.jp/

I did however find this, which I think is the same info I used to have

http://www.stanford.edu/~patryan/oomoto.html

It's no longer available, but the Japanese contact may be of some help.

Regards

Bryan

Peter,

When I visited several years ago, there didn`t seem to be any Aikido. I was told that there is a Shintaido group, though. That`s the art founded by Morihei`s nephew, Inoue.
