steven seagal knife fighting style=

what is the style called which steven seagal uses in knife fights?

SeiserL 05-18-2003 06:04 PM

I don't know the style, but IMHO I haven't seen anything that isn't included in a basic FMA class.

The only prolonged knife fight he had was in Undersiege 1, and it's 100% movie-fu.

Actually, the knife fight with Tommie Lee Jones was straight Kali. It was the most basic movement they do with two sticks (and then later blades) called Heaven Six. Guru Dan Inosanto was hired to techc it to him. It's just a beginner form done at high speed.

Segal has done some Fillipino work in several movies. He even had a stick-fighting scene with Dan Inasonto in one movie. I imagine that any knife fighting he does is along the lines of Kali, Arnise and/or Escrima.

I am not sure in which movie Segal did a fight scene with Inosanto. I just remember reading about it in an article on Segal some years ago.

Sorry. :(
