Saigo Shiro photo - new

Just ran across a nice photograph of Saigo Shiro in a western suit. I have never seen this one, him at a later time in his life (and with hair).

Saigo Shiro, famous as one of Kodokan's earliest and most talented Judoka has also been linked to Daito ryu Aikijutsu.

He is most famously portrayed in the book and 1943 movie (titled) as Sanshiro Sugata.

Can someone translate the commentary line?

It says:

Quote:

Saigo Shiro (Sugata Sanshiro of the film and book)

Not to be confused with SEGAta Sanshiro, famous punisher of non-gamers:

That's right - should have looked at it more closely...

Best,

Chris
