July 27th - August 1st 2012: Takeshi Yamashima in Hawaii
 

Takeshi Yamashima, 7th dan Aikikai, will be visiting the Hawaiian islands from July 27th through August 1st 2012. He will be teaching a gasshuku at Kohala Aikikai on the Big Island from July 27th-29th, and then on Oahu for the remaining days.

Takeshi Yamashima was a long-time student of Seigo Yamaguchi and was often assigned to attend O-Sensei during the last years of his life. He instructs at the Chiyoda-ku Aikikai, Minami Tanaka Dojo, and the Nerima Aikido Rengokai Dojo, and can usually be found at Aikikai Hombu morning practice. He is also licensed in Yagyu Shinkage Ryu. A group of his students will be accompanying him from Japan. Details TBA.

Should be a great week! I'm really looking forward to seeing Yamashima Sensei in the UK in the summer.

If you are looking to work on relaxation and connection in your aikido I can't recommend his classes enough.
