Hip Pain
Does anybody have or had this problem? Both of my hip joint throb. It's been like this for a few months now. I've been off the mat for a month now and it's not feeling any better. It feels like there's EXTRA movement in the joints. What do ya think Dr.?
Thanks |
Re: Hip Pain
You are a month late for your doctors appointment mate.

Re: Hip Pain
We've got a guy who had that all the time. No surprise from the overactive abuse he put his body through for years. He had his hip joint resurfaced and is currently about a month from full recovery.

Re: Hip Pain
The nurse says: nobody's anecdotal evidence is worth a dime when we have no way of evaluating your range of motion, exact location and nature of pain, if its soft osteoarthritis or muscular, etc. Time to get professional help.

Re: Hip Pain
The head of my national organization just got his second hip replaced. Hip pain is certainly something you want to keep a good eye on.

Re: Hip Pain
1. I was able to totally control hip pain caused by deep heavy squats with glucosamine.
2. You're not me. 3. See a doctor. |
Re: Hip Pain
Possible tension in the iliopsoas, obturator and gemellus muscles?
Quite common in martial arts... See a sports' orthopaeditian, not just any orthopaeditian. |
Re: Hip Pain
Hip pain can be something as simple as tendonitis to as complex as avascular necrosis (Bo Jackson). It needs to be x-rayed to rule out why. Some basics: if it hurts worse when you lie on it it may be bursitis. Stiffness could be osteoarthritis.

Re: Hip Pain
I'm a physical therapist and that hip pain can be caused for a hundred things.
maybe if you tell us your age, the pain behaviour, etc...we can figure it out. But you must see a doctor |
Re: Hip Pain
See a good sport orthopedic doctor and a good sport chiropractor.
I have hip pain. I know why. I know what to do. |
