Police force - kotegaeshi

Apparently she pulled a knife on the police officer. Looks like kotegaeshi to me. Excessive force much?

Pretty easy to apply technique to someone with a cane. Good technique regardless though I suppose?

The standard "kotegaeshi"/outward wrist twist is pretty standard across a variety of arts, which is why I didn't think this necessarily warranted an Aikido-specific topic in on of the other forums.

The old lady was not acting normally maybe because of dementia. Someone suffering from Alzheimer can be very unpredictable and violent. The police officer acted to prevent the old lady from harming herself as much as anybody else.

You don't know who has been trained in Cane Fu.

I like the cane with the brass handle.
