Hello from Poland!
Im somewhere in the middle of Poland, but I was actually born and spent most of my life in England (but the name comes from having Polish roots). Im an English teacher, and I moved to this rather small Poland about 9 years ago, and then got married, bought a flat, had a baby...all the regular stuff, really:) .
There is a particular reason i have joined this forum, but I'll post it in another section when i have had a good look around first.
Anyway, my Aikido experience is 'mixed'. I have been attracted and wanted to study Aikido for many many years (Im 36:o ) but in the past i have never really had a chance to, because I couldnt find a club close to where i lived. To make up for it, I have tried to read a lot about it, in the past from books, but I have a good internet connection, I can get a lot from there. So you could say I have a good 'theoretical' grounding, but my practical side is sadly lacking.
Anyway, a few years ago i found out a club had opened in my town, and about a year ago another one! Lucky me, you may think, but no...my schedule as a teacher didnt allow me to join them. I work a lot in private schools, during the evening, so no time:grr: .
Until this semester, when my plan finally allowed me to join one of them:p ! I have had one lesson so far, and I hurt like hell after it.
I wonder if there are any other Polish users around, and i also wonder if this isnt the longest introduction in this forum ever :D
