The Merits of a .45

Based on earlier postings on Aikido in a Street Situation, I thought I'd start a new thread to recount a couple of humorous stories.

A Texas Ranger was once asked why he carried a .45 automatic. He replied, "Because they don't make a .46."

The same Ranger came to a town meeting one evening and a dowager asked him "I see you're wearing your pistol. Do you expect trouble tonight?" He replied, "No Ma'am, if I expected trouble I would have brought my rifle."

At that town meeting the City Council asked the Ranger why he found it necessary to shoot eleven men in the past four years on duty. He explained "There's just some sonsabitches that need shooting."
