I wonder if this includes bounty hunters? I have heard some night mare stories of these thugs entering the wrong home and killing people etc.

Yeah, Cali needs one of those laws. My grandma's car has been broken into so many times...*now frustration is visibly pouring from him* IF ONLY I HAD BEEN THERE! GRANDMA COULD BE 5 CENTS RICHER!!!

Hi Ron,

Florida already had "Castle Doctrine" law prior to this new legislation, which basically allows you to stand your ground in your home or car. In fact, you don't need a CWL to carry a loaded gun in your glove compartment in Florida, as it's treated the same as your home away from home. So the only thing this law does is allow you to treat the entire state of Florida as your "castle."

I'm in the application process for my Florida permit right now--gotta get some prints done tomorrow at my local police station. The Florida permit is gold because it allows you to carry in so many states, even if you're not a resident of Florida.

Back to the law: Obviously, it doesn't apply to places where guns are not allowed. Although, I'm not sure how it handles non-weapon related self-defense in say, a national park, where guns are outlawed in the state. Can you stand your ground and fight in the Everglades with a Kotegaeshi, for example? I'll have to ask.

So to reference your post, whatever trouble they've had with Bounty Hunters and law enforcement getting the shaft, they've had prior to this law being passed, and instances are unlikely to change in nature or frequency.
