Ross's aikido questionnaire feedback

Hi

Back in April last year I posted a questionnaire on aikiweb to collect data for my dissertation project, and received many very helpful responses from aikiweb members.
Having now completed my dissertation (endeavoring to be mindful of aiki principles 'extension' was not a concept that was lost on me during that period) I am able to offer some feedback of results etc to those who might be interested - either as a full, or summarized version.
If you would like a copy of either, please feel free to get in touch; through this thread, or by sending a message to my profile here on aikiweb, and I will then be able to email you the attachment.
Finally, many thanks again to all of you that helped by taking part. It struck me on a number of occasions whilst going through the data the level of sincerity and attention given by participants. Aikiweb was by far and away my most fruitful means of gathering data.

Cheers

Ross

Hi Ashley - is that in sneaky peak summary form or the full perusal version!?
Let me know the best way to get it to you and I'll send it on its way.

Hi Ross,

I too, would like the full version. Thanks in advance. Have you defended the dissertation yet? Where are you in the process? Best of luck.

The whole hog it is then!

I've sent my email address to both of you by message here on aikiweb - drop me a blank email and I'll send the attachment over. Thanks again for your interest.
Michael - to my relief I don't have to present the dissertation to the university, but have now submitted it and am awaiting feedback/grading from my supervisor. I'm expecting it to be a couple of months yet though.

Hi Ross,

Can I have a copy of it as well please? I'll be greedy and ask for both the full dissertation and summary please.

Thanks.

Ross,

I, too, would love to have a copy of both the summary and the full blown deal if possible. If not then just the full blown deal.

Re: Ross's aikido questionnaire feedback

Thanks all for the interest - went into overdrive when I saw four new replies to the post, but rest assured I am doing my best to keep the lid on!
A message with my personal email address has been sent to each of you apart from Rich (got yours), so if you send me a blank email to my hotmail account I can reply with the project.
Daren: I've now rerarranged my Japanese teacher so that I can return to the dojo to be rearranged by you lot. I shall be there next week and am v much looking forward to catching up. I would rather you hit me than do that nikyo of yours please.
Cheers for now

Ross, couldn't you post the findings or at least the summary as an article or blog here on AikiWeb?

Re: Ross's aikido questionnaire feedback

Hi David

That's something I had considered but decided in the end to go with this way, for the time being at least. Feeling somewhat fatigued by the whole dissertation process, I'm not sure I quite have the energy at the moment for randori, but am more than happy to partner up, take some ukemi and engage in some light stretching so to speak.

Let me know if you would be interested in a copy and I'll arrange a way of getting it across to you.

Cheers

Ross
