The Ki Shin Tai Aikido Kan, in Kilmarnock, Scotland, will be hosting a 24-hour Aikidothon training event on the 18th June 2005 to raise funds for Victim Support East Ayrshire.

The event will run from 1pm on Saturday 18th June until 1pm on Sunday 19th June. The programme is currently split into ten sections. These include a 5-hour training course for the first session, three one-hour open classes for those members of the public and volunteers of Victim Support interested in trying Aikido (or simply wishing to raise funds for their charity) for the next session, and eight further two-hour block of training covering everything from Ukemi to Kihon to Riai.

Anyone wishing to participate, raise funds or simply come along and watch will be more than welcome. Please note however that participation numbers will be limited.

Contact Steven Scott (aikido_ayrshire@btinternet.com) for further details and to book a place on the event.

There is no charge for this event, however participants will be expected to make a donation or participate in fundraising.

Victim Support is a voluntary organisation that offers help and assistance to victims of crime.
