seated or standing bow?

sometimes Sensei asks me to take over the class for a couple minutes (sometimes it can be up to half an hour) while he chats with the visitor at the dojo. I'm following the suggestions that I got in this forum about how an instructor can train too. after I give an example of the technique, I wanted to pair up with each one of the herd and do the technique a couple times.

but I'm feeling that doing the bow in seiza everytime I switch partner is rather time consuming and my partners seems to be feeling that the squats-like movement is a bit troublesome too..

afaik a bow is a symbol of humility and respect to our partner. do you think it's okay/appropriate to just do a standing bow before and after pairing up with someone to save time?

Well obviously it always depends on what your teacher says...

But in that situation to me a standing bow would make much more sense!

We only do bows from seiza when bowing in and out at end of class - all others are done standing.

Every dojo is different. Ask your teacher.
