Aikido and Ikebana

Dereast Aikidoka members, I see the greater harmony of Aikido and Ikebana- the planting of trees and plants. Aikido always grow forever. I love you all.

I thought ikebana was flower-arranging, not gardening?

(the connection I see between aikido and ikebana: getting the damn kamiza flowers to look decent !$#%!#$% :D)

Ikebana is flower arranging, with cut flowers that have no choice but to die. Bonsai however would be more likened to Aikido, Slow growth but something beautiful if cared for properly.

sometimes the simplest way of arranging flower is best. take one fake, cloth spun flower with plastic stem. use one staple gun with good staples. staple the flower, twice one lower on the stem and one higher, into the wood of the kamiza. stand back and admire your handy work.

still trying to figure out the aikido connection on such approach and what sort of spiritual plane that i am on. :D
