Cheap Gi in Tokyo?

Hi everyone,

does anyone have an idea if it is possible to buy a rather low cost Keiko Gi in Tokyo? I need a second set of Keiko Gi and don't want to spend more than about 5000 Yen. Do the big department stores sell Keiko Gi?

Thanks! ;)

Hello,

I hope that members who live in Tokyo will respond. The price is such items is quite high and perhaps you could find something in Germany, before you come to Japan. I buy all my aikido equipment from Iwata, near the Aikikai Hombu, but this is a specialist shop and is quite expensive.

Best wishes,

Hi Peter,

thanks for your reply. The Iwata ones seem to have a great quality but are a little too pricey for me as a beginner. I have found this shop http://www.sakuraya.org/ they sell sets from 6000 Yen on. So I might give them a try!

Best!

You can get a gi on Amazon.co.jp cheaply. They tend to be made in China or Pakistan though.
