Looking for a Singapore Dojo

Hello All. I am looking for a dojo in singapore that operates on Saturday or Sundays as I will be having commitments during the week.

I am alright with travelling round the island on the weekend to get the opportunity to train.

Also it would be preferable if they did weapon training as well.
Any suggestions?

In case it helps, here's the webpage for the association I train at in case you want to check out their weekend schedule. I'd recommend contacting the association. There should be an email address and tel no. on the site. You might want to let them know if you have had previous training so they can advise you in your particular situation as some classes are restricted by level. You're of course also always welcome, and encouraged, to watch the classes you might be interested in as a prelude to your decision.

Good luck with finding a place which suits you.

Hi there, they r quite a few aikido clubs in Singapore. Do a search on yahoo, type in "Singapore Aikido". If you're new to Aikido, u might wanna first check out the classes, and speak with the various Sensei to see if they are offering what you are looking for. Different schools have different methods of teaching as well as different belt system. Welcome to training :)

You might want to look at this website:
http://www.geocities.com/Aikido_in_Singapore/

It lists all the major Aikido dojos in Singapore with links. Just look at the section on the left - [Aikido in Singapore]-->[Schools]

Happy training :)

I met and trained with Philip Lee of the Aikido Shinjukai when he came over to Japan a couple of years back. Had a fun night acting as one of the interpreters for his group when they came to visit our dojo. Nice people, nice aikido.

I also met Harry Ng at a different event. I didn't train with him, but he seemed to be a very nice chap, and the people I was with were very enthusiastic about him and their previous training experiences.
