Doka of the day

Hello everybody,
Where does the daily doka come from ? A specific book, or from several sources ?
Best

Forgot to say I find OŽsenseiŽs dokas inspiring.

Hi Lars,

"The Art of Peace" is probably the source of the daily Doka. It's a little book that has O-Sensei's Doka in John Stevens' translations.

In aiki,

Ethan

Hi Ethan sensei, :-)
Thanks, IŽll try to get hold of that one.
IŽm looking forward to the shodo courses next year more Aikido and needless to say the trip to Iwama.

Happy Newyear,
Lars

I seem to remember Jun saying at one point that they came from the Abe set of Doka rather than John Stevens' translations, but that could well be wrong.

Best,

Chris

Back in the late 70's or early 80's I hade a copy of the old Aiki news by S. P. He had some one translate the original into english some time earlier. I posted one a day to Aikido L until they were all posted and the owner of Aikido L posted (with S. P.s Okay ) the whole list
