Under Armor: good for heat/cold enviro's

http://www.underarmour.com/ua2/ua/default.asp

I saw a friend wearing one of these shirts and checked it out on-line. Saturday, I got one and wore it during an advanced class... it's like wearing a fan! This stuff breaths very well!

For those of you in hot or cold area's, I recommend you look into this product. I don't work for em, but I just might by some stock in them now! ;)

Highly recommended. I don't train unless I'm wearing underarmour --- biking, lifting or on the mat...it's the best.

Also, my wife loves underarmour as well, and has worn it while training for and running in the NYC Marathon.

Regards,

Paul

Underarmor also keeps you from getting the nice red cloth-burn lines that burn like the devil in the shower all over your torso.

Add another good review for Under Armour.

I've only trained a few times so far, but the last two practices I wore one under my gi, it made alot of differences.

And for those who wants a more discreet look (won't show over the gi):

if you want something even better get the REI or Patagonia light weight base layer shirts that have anti microbial fabrics, the Underarmor shirts can get smelly fast

Underarmour's good stuff. I'm a Floridian, so it's cool to wear it whether I'm training or not.

Yep.

I won't suggest it for seminars, unless you bring a few fresh ones with you.

I swore by Underarmour in Iraq. Excellent products.

I believe I will look into this for this summer, now do they make it specificly for hot and cold, or is it a one temp fits all?

I made the mistake of getting one of those in white. When I put it on, my chest hair is clearly visible through it, although the compression makes it look like some crazy varicose veins or something.

Oh well, at least I'll have a judo gi over it :D

Same here. :D My wife likes how I look in white T-shirts, so it seemed a good idea to her to buy me white under-armour for Christmas. I wear it under my gi, but it looks really wierd by itself. I like the dark blue and charcoal grey ones; chest hair isn't a problem, then. :)

I agree that it's an excellent product.

I've never had a problem with them getting smelly. I just wash them after I wear them.

As noted above, the white one's aren't really white- once you put them on you can see right through them. Blue and black are my colors of choice, but I wouldn't mind picking up a grey one.
