Some people enter the spiral of violence,
They call it self defence or the opposite of silence;
Some people enter a whirwind romance,
Like a leaf dancing happily but but no base, no stance.
Some people enter the spiral of hate,
Revenge and destruction and that is their fate;
Some people see the spiral as power,
But it's just the vessel, the path, sweet or sour?
Some people talk about spirals of in yo ho,
But do they know why spirals appear and then they go?
Some spirals relate to a harmonious flow,
Some spirals don't alas and that's not the way to go.
And when you're at peace, a state of ultimate humility,
The spiral of peace reaches out, true strength, our own servility,
Bereft of fear yet all is clear and one plus one is one,
No fight, no enemies far or near, Aikido you've become.
