injuries, I seem to be plagued as of late, ankle sprains, lacerations(nothing major) just enougfh to keep me off of the mat for a while, it can be extremely frustrating at times, closing in on my Brown Belt, technique is becoming second nature, starting to be creative with my Aikido, after a 3 week layoff due to work and in juries combined my Ukemi has fallen apart, I need to become comfortable again rolling around and falling, need to become more centered while on the mat, I asked Sensei to order me 2 new Gi's and he replied, "1 seems like plenty if you're only going to practice once every 3 weeks!", low blow Sensei, but well deserved I must add, I feel guilty when I'm not at class, whether the reason is legitimate or borderline me being a whimp, I think some early morning prctice sessions with my Iado should get em some much needed motivation, beautiful location in my backyard on 96 private acres of Catskill Mts forest, I can sit and meditate with the Black Bear, Deer and Wild Turkeys who frequent my front and back yards, most likely because of the huge Mt stream that runs through it, I find myself reverting to the tactics I often used to make it through College and Semi-Pro football seasons like, constant icing of the joints, stretching before bed and when waking, and sleeping more than I should on the weekends, I hope my body starts to catch up soon...
