Hi, here's my first entry.
I recently got my Yellow grade in Iwama Ryu style, which I'm very happy about. On Wednesday I had my first lesson as a Yellow belt. It was a terrible lesson, my ukemi was appalling. I wasn't really doing front rolls as in either diving head first into the mat or flipping onto my back.
My ukemi has always been a bit doggy. I use to do Ju-Jitsu and the front roll breakfalls are slightly different. So I think trying to change the way I've been doing them before to the proper Aikido way is throwing me.
Anyway got to keep practicing, and hope I don't break my neck at the time.
