I'm not in the best of moods. I fell funny, right onto the top of my shoulder actually and there was this cracking kinda sound and of course immediate pain. It was x-rayed at the hospital and nothing is broken and they checked for AC separation, but it hurts like hell. The annoying thing is that I'm meant to be on a two day course over the weekend that I need to do to take shodan.

I am beyond not happy.

Linda Eskin Says:
Oh, I'm so sorry. Ouch... I have had surgery on one shoulder, and then (in my 4th-ever Aikido class) fell badly and separated the AC joint in that same shoulder. Yep. Shoulder injuries do hurt like hell. I can't take NSAIDs, but I have to say ice makes a huge difference. I use gel ice packs (tuck one between your shirt and a sweatshirt). Ice it a lot - like every few hours. It really helped it feel better, and I think it helped it heal faster. Sorry you're missing your weekend thing. :-(
