In General First Entry - Off to Seattle Entry Tools Rate This Entry

Well, this is my first post and probably my last post in Winnipeg.

Its been a year since I've joined the North Winnipeg Aikikai, however, due to life's "gifts" I haven't been training for a year. I am sad to leave this wonderful dojo filled with good and nice people. My last "advice" was to make a blog here on Aikiweb to establish communication with fellow dojo members.

I do enjoy Aikido training and hopefully be able to continue to train in Seattle. Reason of leaving Winnipeg is university. I have been accepted into Bastyr University for their undergrad degree in Health Psychology. I will be leaving tomorrow. *sigh* and *yay*

I don't know what to type about at the moment. I guess I would like to thank my dojo sensei and members. Its been a good/weird year, and I am thankful to have met you all. Hopefully in Seattle there is a nice, close and "cheap" (I am only a student) place to train with good instructions, like the one I trained at. I will look when I settle down.

Well, that's about it, I have lots of stuff to do before tomorrow.

Thanks Mark. The place I am staying is approx one mile away from Bastyr. I heard there is a dojo inside the school, but don't know too much about them. I guess my main concern is price, being a student and coming from Canada makes things expensive. But, I will look into the area. -DL

Mark Gibbons Says:
If you use the dojo locator and start in seattle set the radius to about 25 miles to pick up Eastside dojos. If you'll end up living close to Bastyr there is at least 1 really good dojo in Kirkland. Welcome, Mark
