I was running through the grading stuff with a lovely young lad (we wont use his name ... its unfair!!!)
and we're doing all right ... bearing in mind my left arm sitll isnt very strong and is still very painful at times! (im still on drugs!!!!!)
and it comes to the hip throw ...
now for reasons of my own I refused to be uke for this ...
and ... had heap big .... "no" session with his exulted royal benevolant mericiful demi-god formally known as sensei ....
im getting quite heated now ... and hes not looking so happy either ..... resulting in ultimatum ... and me stoming off mats!!!

But on lighter note ... managed did said technique in the end!

ok ... so ... me and sensei ....
staring each other down on the mats .... no one else around ,.... grading syllubus .... (now the last time i went through this ... i ended up with busted shoulder ... so am a little reluctant)
ok ... i run through all the pins fine ....
my throws need some more ... finess to them ...
and well ... my jo and bokken stuff leave a lot tobe desired! ...
so ... the question is .... come october .... will i grade????

im beyonde tireed now ...
was full of energy when I left work this morning .... (night shifts ya know)
so bounded up to the dojo in HIGH spirits ... only to be greeted with breakfalling .... Ikkyo ... and nikkyo ....
(dontcha love sensei!)
Then ..... pressure points! .... just on me ....
and have you ever been pinned to floor by hand wiv a big toe???

so theres the senior and junior class .... sensei has just finished taking us through warm ups .... looks around and says .... "Dory .... (as that is what he always calls me) ... You take the juniors through their grading syllubus ...."
ohhhh the looks on these 11 yr old faces .... (especially as I know their parents!)
Im watchin many a fiiiiine Ikkyo ... fabulous ... then I get a shout
"Dory .... Grab my wrist!" ....
who am i to resist ... charging across dojo ... towards senseis out stretched arm ...
wallop ... Ikkyo ....
"but ... if dory gets up .... you can change them ... dory grab my wrist"

ohhhhh the immense pain ... of droppping to knee ... getting up ... tiptoes ... back to floor! ....
then ... just to show off ... nikkyo with bokken (I confess I dont know if theres a more technical term for that!) ....
and thats just plain WRONG!!!!
the juniors loved it though .... little monkeys!

ok ... i was right .... jennie is trouble ... the girl is a wafer .... i mean ... i call her twiggy .... grabbing her wrist makes my stomach twist .... its like grabbing a chicken leg ..... lol
so NIKKYO ... (no i havent missed it that much at all!) ...
and Jennie shows a new sadistic tendancy .... it appears she has a natural "gift" .... to really wallop nikko on ... drop to ur knee! ... i nearly dropped through the floor! ..... i tell ya tapping out wasnt the word! ..... so if my writhing agony wasnt enough .... she THEN said ...

sensei was more than happy to oblige ..... and ukedory (me) ... wanted to cry ..... yes ... i admitt it ...
BUT I shall have my revenge .... mwahahahahahahha ...
seriously though ... im loving being back on the mats ... and i have missed it ...

IKKYO .... something nice and simple as my left shoulder is still not up to par ... so slow going today ...
took a friend .... i have a feeling Jennie will be trouble for me!
Sensei has missed me .... i can tell ... the familiar "roll" of the eyes told me all i needed to know! (which is that he has been LOVING the time off from my totally blonde moments)
OUCHHHHHHH you will never know the agony I am in .... ohhhh the pain ....
better start at the begining ....
okay ... Monday ... went to dojo in FANTASTIC mood ... all set to do the breakfalls and not wuss out of any of them ....
so theres me ...
Ikkyo, Nikkyo, Sankyo, Yonkyo, Gokyo, .... (Im on FIRE!!!!! ... for me at least) ....
on to the throws ...
Shihonage ..... (forwards and back ..)
Tenchinage ... (still doing well)
Iriminage ....(am still ok)
Kaitenage ....
ohhhhhhhh dear ...... over she goes and .... lands on her shoulder with a sickening crunch ....
sits up .... and THEN nearly cries .... (I am a complete baby when it comes to pain!)
Sensei takes me to hospital ... and I discover I have Muscular Strain .... in all my active muscles in my shoulder ...
So Im not doing Aikido for at LEAST two weeks .... whilst my body attempts to heal ... and Im wearing a sling ... YEAY!
you try getting the housework done one handed ... its noooo easy feat!
so Good news ... No permenant damage ... Bad news ... (im scared of breakfalling again now!" ....)

ok ... so I forgot to update you ... but hey needles to say I suffered! .... and again with the suffering today .... why is it you have a few days off and then when you return to it you feel like you've been put through and blender??? ... or is that just me? ...

Yes .... I am Senseis play thing!!!! He keeps feeding me to the juniors! .....
there seems to be a skill to being a juniors Uke! .... forget anything youve ever learned and collapse at the sligtest flick of the wrist or they end up pummelling the life out of you!

yes for an extra two hours today I was allowing a twelve yea old and a nine year old beat me!!! ... shiho nage with a twelve year old ... shudder!
but the plus side ... Ive accomplished the backwards breakfall!
HURRAH ... so a plus side today!!!
anyway ... gotta go the paramedics are waiting to put me in traction!
