Worked with Rick went over my entire test again. It felt really good, maybe some of it is sticking. I worked with Don Penny after first partner switch. It was good too. I worked a lot on suwuri waza shoman uchi yonkyu . It was good to have someone else to play with other than Rick at that point, I changed a bit of the way I move for the yonkyu pin too. Working on remembering to keep my toes under my feet for all the pins. I remember working on that for my 5th kyu test too!

Also noted that this test is a lot longer than the other tests I have done in the past.

I need to get closer when I start doing direct entry on tsuki irimi nage. It made it a lot easier half a step closer. Don pointed this out, and demonstrated that you would do the blend from one distance, and a direct entry from another distance, and that part of what would determine which would be the distance from the uke to you. I will try and remember to mention this to Rick next time we train together and see if he agrees.

Yonkyou is a difficult technique, so it's probably a good one to get extra practice on. You really seem to know what you need to do to get things right, so that's great. You sound pretty ready to me, now you just need to relax! Good luck, have a great test! -Rachel Klein
